Does the Bible contain errors, contradictions, or discrepancies?

There are many theological terms (inerrant, infallible, etc.) that have different shades of meaning, but Christians mostly agree that the Bible was inspired by God and that the original writings were without meaningful error. Most seeming contradictions or errors are easily corrected when one understands the author's culture (such as giving tallies of total people in one place but only of men in another) or properly understand the genre of the work (it would be unwise to use a line of poetry from Psalms to build a doctrine that is unsupported by other scripture). The Bible has been declared extremely accurate for archeology and history, and so can more easily be trusted in spiritual matters.
