Can you prove Christ's resurrection?
There are five ancient sources outside of the Bible confirm that Jesus was at least executed, but was Jesus' resurrection just a legend? According to A. N. Sherwin-White of Oxford, it took more than two generations in the ancient world for legends to develop. It is widely accepted that the New Testament was written between AD 40-65, which would make the addition of fictitious events highly unlikely. The New Testament would have been written within a few years of the events that it reports, greatly supporting its authenticity. Eyewitness testimony is another key factor. Nine ancient sources confirm the testimony of the disciples as eyewitnesses of the resurrection, and the earliest report of the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:6) says that 500 people saw him.
